We just got an email from a visitor (thanks Tom) asking about the Zenfone 3 Ultra and whether it’s headed to the US market. This raises a valuable point which is this. What Zenfone 3 models are headed to the US market? At this point we can base our list on the models that have shown up at the FCC. Once at the FCC, we are going to safely say that they are headed to the US store shelves.
This list will be updated, but it’s current as of September 18, 2016.
Zenfone 3 Models headed to US Store Shelves:
- Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL)
- Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL)
- Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL)
- Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL)
So Tom, we are sorry to report at this time the Zenfone 3 Ultra is not going to be in stores during the initial launch phase. Of course we could see a FCC listing any day now which would change the situation, but for now it’s not great news.
We don’t see a 5.2-inch variant Zenfone 3 yet so it will be interesting to see what Asus does. Additionally, we have seen two new Zenfone Go models at the FCC which are budget phones and do not share the Zenfone 3 branding.
