The wait is over for anyone in the US (and Canada) hoping to buy a ZenFone 6. Pre-orders are starting for at least one retailer and ASUS US online store. We have the details and links here! Canada gets free shipping but check before buying as sometimes the free shipping offer comes and goes.

ZenFone 6 Accessories (Case, Screen Protector)

ASUS is selling the phone but not the official case. At this point, there are few reliable options. In the meantime you can use the included case, but we strongly recommend getting a protective case rather than the include shell case. Our experience with the included ZenFone cases has not been positive in the past. We are in the midst of getting some links to some recommended ZenFone 6 accessories. Hopefully by days end August 9.

ZenFone 6 Shopping Advice:

Tip #1: Don’t wait. Regardless of what the shipping date is, pre order now so you don’t wait even longer. The shipping date most times is wrong. Usually units ship sooner than first suggested during ASUS pre order phases. There will be a limited number of units available and Twilight Silver will be in short supply. In other markets we’ve seen sell outs in a matter of minutes. It’s hard to predict how many units ASUS had dedicated to the US/Canada market so we suggest moving as quickly as possible.

Tip #2: If you’re from Canada, the links above are for you too. B&H offers free shipping to Canada for orders over $100. Canada has the same ZenFone 6 model with the same network bands, so there is no difference if you buy in the US and bring into Canada.

Tip #3: Please take our advice and do not rely on the included ZenFone 6 case. We have a couple of articles about what you should do before getting your hands on your new ZenFone 6. These are cautionary tales that comes from our own experience with previous ZenFone models.

    Asus store USA doesn’t ship to Canada. Bh doesn’t have the 8gb ram version, but it is available from the asus store us.

    I’m just a little curious where you got your BH shipping date? Anything I’ve seen online indicates they won’t be stocked thenselves until the following week.

        No the date I referenced was total hearsay I had picked up from a forum or reddit. I contacted BH this morning but they couldn’t provide anything remotely concrete.

    Upon checking out, the 64GB+6GB version shows a $66 of duties/taxes, while the 256GB+8GB version shows a nearly $200 of duties/taxes! plus $9 of shipping fee, to Canada. So sad when I saw it since I thought my wait was finally over!

      I would contact their support on that. Says free shipping for order over $99. It’s possible when you checked, the model wasn’t full setup in their system. That listing was sketchy earlier today but I see now they have added an image.

        Thanks for replying. I think I saw “free shipping to Canada above $99” on the page of 6GB RAM version before, but now it’s gone…also it seems that the policy is for “Most Orders” but not all, maybe they don’t do that for zenfone 6 anymore… and I think they don’t set it up for the correct category yet as well, so the long pain of waiting continues…

          Oh that would be totally bogus if they ditch that free shipping to Canada for this product. Wow. I’m not saying it’s impossible. They’ve advertised that $99 free shipping for years at this point. I hope you have some luck on it. They have good chat support so hopefully that can get sorted out. Those added fees sound bizarre so hopefully it’s just their system temporarily acting up. Thanks again for posting the info and your experience trying to get one of these shipped. This will help others for sure!

            You’re welcome. I did some looking around their site and you’ve been doing as well. I hate to say it, but given the shortage/demand, are B&H kicking Canadian customers to the curb as it were? I see that the 6GB/64GB as well doesn’t have the free shipping mentioned. I’ll definitely pass on my feelings to them about this if in fact they are prioritizing US customers in this way. Seems a bit disingenuous. At the very least I will find out from them what is going on, full disclosure and post it on the site for now and future reference.

            I hope you checked again, because as of 10:30AM ET that model says $99 free shipping to Canada. Maybe this is updated because you brought it to their attention! I’m glad to see this none the less.

            Thx for noticing. I checked the taxes and it remains at $200@32% though. The email is not replied and they are closed now for Friday so the I didn’t get the chance to have a live chat. Guess I’ve to wait again until Sunday when they open again. Until then I’ll stay on the fence staring at the ferocious $200 duties.

            update of B&H: free shipping to Canada over $99 has mysteriously gone for the 64/128GB model, while the duties and taxes finally got corrected for the 256GB model(which is $79 out of $599 USD, plus free shipping over $99, the spec is not online yet though)! It seems some kind guy worked in the weekend to fix that for us. Anyway, I placed the order and see what happens.
