Brazil gets news about release dates and prices

Note October 25 on your calendar if you live in Brazil. This word comes from Marcel Campos who is the director of marketing for Asus Latin America and India. Sounds like news you can trust! What we aren’t sure about yet is regarding the Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the particular model with Snapdragon 821 processor. Initially though, it sounds like the ZE552KL and perhaps ZE520KL models will be available on October 25th. According to reports that we’ve read, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe with Snapdragon 821 is part of this launch date in Bazil, we will update when we see some confirmation of those details. We’ve read that the Zenfone 3 (either ZE552KL or ZE520KL we’re not sure) are built in Brazil and the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be brought into country. Release date for the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is something that we are committed to finding out for you.

Germany release date for Zenfone 3 is “not long now”

Okay, so the US is not the last market to see their Zenfone 3 announcement. We try and track what’s happening around the globe and that can have obvious challenges.

It’s not entirely clear to us what the retail situation is in Germany. We do see the Asus Germany website with product listings, however when it comes to prices and where to buy, things become less clear.

This tweet was from Sept 19th and there has been no follow-up on any of the official Asus Germany social media platforms. Is the release date and pricing in limbo right now?

Best Buy Canada now lists Zenfone 3 models starting at CAD 279

Best Buy Canada is about to start selling the Zenfone 3. Right now there is no stock available, but for the first time there are actual product pages along with prices. We are expecting to see these available to buy any day now. For a number of days Best Buy Canada simply had the marketing page for the Zenfone 3, but the shop link was to a page not found error. At least now there is some movement! Other smaller retailers like NCIX, Newegg.ca, Canada Computers, Memory Express have been selling a few units, but those have almost all run out now. Staples has now put up pages for the two main Zenfone 3 models, but neither is showing in stock. It also appears that the Dark Blue is the first model to become available with White coming a little bit later.

Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL) – 32GB storage, 2GB RAM – CAD 279 (Note that Best Buy currently incorrectly shows this as having 64GB of storage)

Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) – 64GB storage with 4GB RAM and White color – CAD 429

Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) – 64GB storage with 4GB RAM and Dark Blue color – CAD 429

Asus US site adds Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) page but does it mean anything?

The US version of Asus.com has a product page for the Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) now. It’s the only Zenfone 3 listing thus far, and frankly it’s the only movement we’ve spotted so far. All is silent on their US based social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. So far, this listing is the best we’ve got!

Aside from the accidental Amazon.com listings of the ZS570KL and Zenfone 3 Max, there has been little to go with in terms of the US launch. We’ve said recently that we expect some type of official information any day now. Fall is in the air. Halloween costumes are starting to fill the stores. Sounds like about time we hear from Asus about the tech savvy US market release.

When is the US release date for the Zenfone 3?

We have been getting this question quite often (okay, maybe more than quite often) about when the Zenfone 3 is going to land in the US market. We hear you! We have been making every effort to find out this information for you.

Everything seems to be in place in terms of FCC submissions. There has been enough time for most of the Zenfone 3 models to start showing up in retail at this point. We generally suggest that when published on FCC, a product isn’t getting to market much earlier than four weeks after. It’s usually longer than four weeks.

We don’t want to tease you. Some of you have legitimate reasons for needing to know. The fact is we expect some type of details any day now. By next week will the release date and pricing be available? We sure hope so.

What are we doing for you to get the info? We track various areas of the web throughout each day looking for some type of indicators. We will pass these pieces of information along, as we discover them. If you haven’t signed up to our email mailing list (newsletter), then we recommend it.

Something will be happening late this week or during the weekend. It’s virtually October and with every country now having their Zenvolution events completed, it’s only the US left. Let’s just hope the announcement and prices are worth the wait. We will certainly hope that the phones will be available to purchase or pre order on the day Asus does finally announce something for the US market.

The Zenfone 3 Ultra is unlikely to see an official release, at least at this point in time. We have seen no FCC submissions so that says everything you need to know. It still could happen, so don’t give up just yet. It’s going to be a little while however if it does in fact make it to the US market.

Why has Asus taken so long to make the US announcement? This is a fair question. We simply can only speculate. The most likely reason is because they want to have units in stock and shipping right after they do the unveil. In years past, the launch event happens, and the products take quite a while before hitting store shelves. This year Asus may be doing things different. Also they may be holding off to find out competitors pricing (with the competition also release new phones around this same time) and making price adjustments on the fly. Asus will be the cheaper option and it’s something they deliver on a consistent basis.

Please stay with us. We hear you and we hope to break the news for you first!
